C’est l’affaire de chocolat

It’s the morning drink for my daughter, Elizabeth.

Most mornings, her cocoa is dark and velvety. No fancy swirls, no whipped cream, no chocolate sprinkles. “Plain and straight up,” she says. “Chocolate sprinkles, only if they’re in season.”

It is the cornerstone to her breakfast, the cornerstone to her day.

      Elizabeth likes to use bittersweet chocolate to make her morning cup, but if it’s not handy, she’ll use semi-sweet chocolate.
