Thunderstorms in Colorado and Texas are very different creatures. Living close to the mountains, here in Colorado, topography can greatly influence a thunderstorm. Either, the mountains can create it fast, less than 30 minutes, or take one down just as quickly. In Texas, the storms are fueled by the higher humidities and heat. And, once they get rolling, there isn’t much that can slow them down.
