Kitchen Time

A different kind of kitchen duty …

taking a break from the problem set

Elizabeth routinely takes over a portion of the kitchen counter to study and do her homework. Since she began that practice “long” ago, we’ve learned to work around her in making dinner. In other cases, she’ll move to a less used portion of the counter. Deborah and Tara, they spread out their work across the dining room table.

Once the study hours are concluded, it’s time for a treat, or two.

  1. I remember teachers telling us during parent conferences that it was important for a student to get into the routine of doing their homework in the same location every evening. I see that picking the location closest to the freezer has it’s advantages!
